Orange Grove Mental Health offers a psychiatric care experience many patients have been looking for—one where they don’t feel rushed, judged, or reduced to a diagnosis.
Emma Hovey is a board-certified physician assistant with a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Psychiatry and is the founder of Orange Grove Mental Health. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and completed her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern University. Her clinical training and experience focus on the treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma, and mood disorders.
Care here goes beyond symptom management alone. The goal is to understand the full picture of your mental health, including sleep, stress, relationships, life transitions, physical health, and day-to-day functioning. Medication, when appropriate, is prescribed thoughtfully and conservatively, with clear explanations so you feel informed and comfortable in the process.
Many patients come in unsure of what they need—whether that’s therapy, medication, or simply clarity about what they’re experiencing. Sessions are designed to help you sort through that uncertainty together. Emma’s role is to guide, educate, and support you so that decisions feel collaborative rather than overwhelming.
Outside of clinical work, Emma enjoys reading, cooking, yoga, and spending time with family and friends. These parts of her life inform her belief that mental health is deeply connected to daily routines, relationships, and a sense of purpose.
